Extraordinary Ice Exhibition in Amsterdam
In honor of Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary, the Centrale Markthal is set to be transformed into a breathtaking frozen wonderland. This unique event will showcase a dazzling array of ice sculptures that illustrate the city’s rich heritage, featuring everything from its most famous landmarks to celebrated historical personalities. As the largest ice exhibition in Europe, this is an experience that should be on everyone’s itinerary!
Amsterdam’s storied past stretches back to its founding in 1275, encompassing a multitude of influential people, remarkable sights, and significant events. A skilled team of sculptors and artists will convert a staggering 500 tonnes of ice and snow into over 135 intricate ice sculptures. Visitors will have the chance to behold remarkable renditions of the Rijksmuseum and iconic masterpieces, along with various other notable scenes from the city, all crafted from ice.
