Unprecedented ice experience in Amsterdam
To celebrate the 750th anniversary of the city, the Centrale Markthal in Amsterdam is turning into a frozen museum. It will be filled with ice sculptures that portray the history of the city, from iconic buildings to historical figures. It will be Europe’s biggest ice exhibition, something no one wants to miss out on!
Amsterdam has a rich history, from the founding of the city in 1275 to today, countless people, sights and events have shaped it. A team of sculptors and artists will transform 500 tonnes of ice and snow into more than 135 ice sculptures. See the Rijksmuseum and some world famous art works made from ice, as well as many other iconic sights in the city.
