With the Hop on Hop off tour you will be able to discover this unique city at your own pace without worrying about transportation. You choose where to hop-on and where to hop-off at any of the 19 stops in the city or take the full 2.5 hour bus tour before deciding what you want to see up close.
This tour will take you from West Berlin to East Berlin and back again. You’ll see all the historic neighbourhoods of the German capital and once you see something interesting, you can hop-off and explore the sight. From the Brandenburg Gate to Potsdamer Platz and from the Berlin Zoo to the Checkpoint Charlie, you’ll see it all.
During the cruise you’ll pass Museum Island, with its many famous museum; the Reichstag, home to parliament; Friedrichstrasse station; Haus der Kulturen der Welt; and many more interesting sights on the banks of the Spree. As the tour nears the Reichstag, you’ll cross from what was once East Berlin to West Berlin where some people attempted but few succeeded to cross the Berlin Wall.
The cruise will provide you with plenty of fresh air, or ‘Spreeluft’, as you take in the sights and sounds on the river bank. Yet the tour is not too long for kids and with a city like Berlin there is always something new to see on the shores.
The nearest stop is Bahnhof Berlin-Friedrichstraße (U-Bahn U6 and trains).
