He was a true polymath, who combined his knowledge of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and skills as an artist in his innovations and inventions. While his ideas and designs are over 500 years old, they continue to fascinate people to this day.

Over the course of one hour at DA VINCI: GENIUS, you are surrounded Da Vinci’s ideas. They are all around you, with floor-to-ceiling projections and immersive sounds that take you on a journey through linear content, live-generated content and interactive content.

Da Vinci in the past and the present

Throughout his life, Leonardo da Vinci was known as a painter, sculptor, scientist, engineer, draughtsman, theorist and architect. While Leonardo had received no formal training, he is considered to be a prime example of the “Renaissance Man”, due to his unquenchable curiosity and inventive imagination. Today, works created by Leonardo da Vinci can be found in museums and institutions all around the world, such as the Louvre in Paris, the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, the British Museum in London, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.

The experience DA VINCI: GENIUS takes you into the mind of the man, to learn more about him and how his mind worked. The exposition includes over 50 of Da Vinci’s most famous and loved works, including ‘The Last Supper’, the ‘Mona Lisa’, ‘The Baptism of Christ’ and his ornithopter. After exploring his mind, the exposition invites you to imagine what Da Vinci would think of the world we live in today.
