With this combi ticket you can discover the many treasures and hidden gems in Stockholm and visit the Royal Armoury, right next to the Royal Palace. The RED Sightseeing bus has two stops near the Royal Armoury, which makes it incredibly easy to visit the museum while you are exploring the city. But the bus will also bring you to many other parts of the city, including Södermalm, Djurgården, Norrmalm, Vasastan and Östermalm.
At the Royal Armoury you’ll find both permanent and temporary exhibitions. The collection of the museum consists of pieces that have been worn or used by the Swedish royal family, including ceremonial equipment, weapons and costumes. There are pieces that are 500 years old but also pieces from current members of the royal family.
The main exhibition at the museum explores Swedish history and its connection to the monarchy. In the vaults of the museum stand 5 beautiful historic horse carriages. And the special Children’s Armoury section let’s kids actively explore the past with costumes, as well as a play, read and draw area.
RED Sightseeing’s hop on hop off buses take you all over Stockholm so that you can spend time in those parts of the city that you want to see. The Royal Armoury sits on Gamla Stan, which is the Old Town of Stockholm and holds many other treasures to explore. The many other bus stops are all located near a sight, attraction or museum in the city that is worth visiting.
Of course, it is also possible to just stay on the bus for a full tour of the city. Along the way you can listen to an audio guide to learn more about the city and make use of free Wi-Fi so that you can easily share your experiences with friends and family at home, and check the RED Sightseeing app. The app shows you exactly where all the stops are, as well as the location of the buses on the road, and up to date information in case there are any road blocks.
The nearest stops are Slotssbacken (bus 2, 57 & 76), Gamla Stan (metro 13, 14, 17, 18 & 19), and Kungsträdgården (metro 10 & 11).
