Kiefer: An exhibition at the Van Gogh & Stedelijk Museum

From 7 March to 9 June 2025, the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam are joining forces for a major exhibition on one of the most important artists of our time: Anselm Kiefer. The title of the exhibition, Sag mir wo die Blumen sind, refers to the anti-war song of the same name by American folk singer and activist Pete Seeger, which later became widely known in a German rendition by Marlene Dietrich. The title also refers to Kiefer’s new work of the same name that will be on display at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and to Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers. This ticket gives you access to the Van Gogh Museum. At the Van Gogh Museum you will receive a wristband that gives you access to the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

Del 7 de marzo al 9 de junio de 2025, el Museo Van Gogh y el Museo Stedelijk de Ámsterdam unen sus fuerzas para organizar una gran exposición de uno de los artistas más importantes de nuestro tiempo: Anselm Kiefer. Sunflowers and Potato Eaters

Van Gogh is quite possibly the most famous amongst the Dutch masters, though many outside the country’s borders mispronounce his name. The museum dedicated to his work was entirely refurbished in 2013 in order to remain a cutting-edge exhibition space worthy of the art work on display.

A visit to the Van Gogh Museum is a unique experience. The museum is home to the largest collection of work by Vincent van Gogh in the world, including over 200 of his paintings, 500 drawings and more than 750 letters.

It provides the opportunity to keep track of the artist’s developments and compare his paintings to works by other artists from the 19th century in the collection, such as Gauguin, Manet and Pissarro. The museum also presents exhibitions on various subjects from 19th-century art history.
