Overpriced and Underwhelming In my opinion, this activity is significantly overpriced, as the standard of service and quality simply doesn't justify the cost. A pancake boat is exactly what it sounds like: you sail the IJ waterfront while unlimited Dutch pancakes come out of the galley. Sweet, savoury and plain, as many as you like, for the length of the cruise.
It is one of the most reliably good-humoured things to do in Amsterdam with children, and the route along the harbour gives you the modern side of the city while you eat.
