Visitors can dive deep into Swedish history, spanning from the Ice Age to contemporary times, revealing the intricate ways in which our history continues to influence modern society. This museum is home to a multitude of exhibitions that illuminate different historical eras, enhancing our understanding of the past.

One of the highlight exhibitions is “The Viking World,” lauded as one of the largest Viking exhibitions globally. It captivates guests with exhilarating narratives, hands-on interactive exhibits, and an impressive collection of 2,500 authentic artifacts. Don’t overlook the dramatic “Gold Room,” where visitors can marvel at a dazzling array of the museum’s collection, which includes 52 kilos of gold and over 200 kilos of silver objects. For those who wish to delve deeper, guided tours and audio guides are readily available, alongside engaging activities specifically tailored for children.

Here, history buffs will find an array of intriguing artifacts, including the world’s heaviest coin that tips the scales at nearly 20 kilos! The museum also features Sweden’s inaugural banknotes and even a modern Bitcoin ATM, showcasing the evolution of currency through the ages.

The place got some interesting history, but had trouble with the audio guide, kept cutting out. Still enjoyed the visit thanks to the good exhibits.

La visita estuvo buena, pero el precio de la entrada es un poco alto para lo que ofrecen. Aún así, el guia de ticketsandroutes fue muy amable y servicial.
